Cooler weather signals the need for a change up in your skincare routine. Think about it—summer’s high temps and sunshine demand a different regime than what fall weather brings with its cooler weather and drier air. It’s time to embrace an update to your skincare.

Facials are your foundation

The truth is, no matter what season, a facial is the first step. A deep pore cleaning facial not only sets the stage for ensuring your skin is ready for whatever—heat, humidity, wind, freezing temperatures—but it also provides insight into what you need to focus on in terms of your day-to-day routine.

First step – EXFOLIATE

Dulling dead skin cells on the surface of the skin will prevent products from fully absorbing into the skin. Exfoliate with RICE EXFOLIATING POWDER 2 times a week to clear away dead skin cells. For deeper exfoliation MIRACLE PEEL CREAM is ideal to start mid October. It gently slough off deeper skin layers and reveal glowing skin – Salicylic Acid in it is one of the only acids that effectively cleans the pores from the inside out.

Step 2 – CLEAN & MIST

Always apply your skin care on skin that is clean an damp

Switch to a creamy HERBAL CLEANSER so that skin doesn’t get stripped of its natural oils. To keep your skin supple and damp, use a hydrating ROSE PETAL TONER

Step 3 – LAYER IN MOISTURE

The key to a hydrated, plump complexion is layers of moisture

You want to start the layering process with the thinnest products, such as face oils and elixirs.

ROSEHIP FACE ELIXIR has high concentrations of Vitamin C and is ideal antioxidant elixir for fall.

BLUE TANSY FACE OIL is a must for irritated skin, “angry” skin.

The skin under your eyes is the thinnest on your face, so your eye-specific products need to go on before any heavier moisturizers and after face oils. ROYAL EYE CREAM – firms, tightens and rejuvenates delicate skin under the eyes.

Lock in moisture – Face creams lock in moisture and go on last! I recommend slightly heavier creams SIGNATURE FACE CREAM, JASMINE or ROSE face creams  or CARROT FACE & NECK CREAM for this time of the year.

Step 4 -NOURISH & RESTORE

Last but not least! Start incorporating moisturizing masks to your routine – CHOCOLATE, BLUE TANSY or NECTAR masks are ideal for fall. I love applying them early in the morning, as they refresh, rejuvenate and lift my face & spirits 🙂
